As the most widely read journal in the field of laboratory animal science, Lab Animal is a valuable resource for the veterinarians, technicians, facility managers and IACUC members who work tirelessly behind the scenes of biomedical research. Lab Animal has a 37-year track record of supplying timely and relevant peer-reviewed information that the animal research community can rely on. Lab Animal is unique in offering a variety of expert-written content on a full range of pertinent topics in animal research: animal care and husbandry; diagnosis and treatment; facility planning, design and management; staff training and education; and updates and information on regulations and legislation pertaining to laboratory animal science.
Lab Animal pledges to continue to fulfill its role as a resource for the unsung heroes
of biomedical research. As our readers are committed to ensuring the humane and efficient care of the animals on which our modern medical breakthroughs rely, so we are committed to bringing them the most current and relevant information, whether the focus is on occupational health and safety, emerging animal models, career planning, or the latest techniques and products.
In keeping with this goal, Lab Animal has some exciting new developments to announce. In 2008, we will be expanding our journal by adding a full issue for the month of August. We're growing to accommodate the increase in new information afforded by advances in animal research.
In addition, our new Product Focuses will provide overviews of specific product categories commonly used in animal research facilities. These targeted pieces will help our readers make educated decisions about the supplies they use. And Lab Animal Offers, a direct-response voucher book, will help save them money if they decide to purchase.
We hope 2008 will be a banner year for Lab Animal, and we invite you to help us make it great.
